Oh, you guys can get notification for these now? Neat. It's much easier to write here then making a journal. :paranoid:

Anyway, I'm very sorry for not being around besides just faving artworks in the background. I've been on Twitter and YouTube more often than here on dA. I've been doing Let's Plays on YouTube for quite a while now, and haven't really visited here as often as I use too. Maybe it's just a lack of motivation to visit... Not sure, to be honest. :stare:

Anyway, just felt like telling you guys where I've been and what I'm doing. My Twitter is "YukiMizuno", and my YouTube is "YukiMizuno90", for those who want to visit my other channels.

I also help out on this other YouTube channel called "GreatMomentsInLPing", where a few others and I upload moments from other Let's Players; both popular and unknown LPer's. Mostly for showing off funny and amazing moments for others to see, and for others to subscribe to the featured LPer's.

Here's an example of what I've uploaded there so far on GMiLP...

... The games above will have reasons written down later for why they are on this list. It's a work in progress! But, for now, here's the reasons I've written down for my top 10 out of 100...

10. Final Fantasy X & X-2

Final Fantasy X was the first FF I ever played, but I like to group these two together as one, mainly because I felt like X-1 didn't need to be split with X-2. I blame Square for that... Then again, the gameplay is different in both games, so maybe that's why... But oh well!

9. Professor Layton and the Unwound Future

Even though I used a walkthrough for half of the game's puzzles, the story of this one was fantastic, and genuinely made me cry at the end of it.

8. Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door

Truthfully, I'm not that good at playing Mario RPG's, mainly because I suck at reacting commands. But I still adore this game to death, and always puts a smile on my face.

7. Pokémon Black and White 1 & 2

I never really realized it until a few months ago, but Gen V is my favorite Pokémon Generation. I have always thought that my favorite Generation was II, because of Pokémon Crystal. It's really strange for me to say that... Oh well.

6. Chrono Trigger

My first experience with Chrono Trigger was playing it for the first time on the PS1 [Good god, that was a really bad port...], but then I finally finished it on my own as a ROM without spoiling myself through a walkthrough; you know, because spoilers are usually everywhere. I never had it on my SNES before, so playing it on a ROM was all I can do. And when I came out onto the DS years later, it really rekindled why I loved this game; great story, great characters, and great music... Even though I prefer Chrono Cross's OST a bit more... Don't kill me!

5. Psychonauts

I bought this game back when it first came out on the PS2 because I liked the way it looked; it was very cartoony and different than other things I've seen at that time. And I was certainly not disappointed… Even though it wasn’t until the Steam version of this game when I finally beaten it, because when I got to the final boss of the game, my game crashed and I rage quit really hard. Still very sore about that. Nowadays, I do everything in my power to spread the word about this game and about Tim Schafer and Double Fine. They're amazing!

4. Okami

I can't even begin to describe how much I love this game. I saw it on a TV show called X-Play, where they did a review of it. Needless to say, the review made me buy the game on my PS2. The art style, the story, the Celestial Brush; just everything about it I really do love… Plus, when it came out in HD on the PS3, it was the first game I ever got a Platinum Trophy on, for completing it 100%, one of my proudest moments ever in my gaming career… Is that sad?

3. Final Fantasy IX

My favorite Final Fantasy ever made. I have a lot of fond memories playing this game. Everything about it was just magical to me than compared to any of the other PS1 FF’s. FF7 and FF8 focused more on futuristic aspects in their environments, FF9 went back to what the older FF’s have done; with kingdoms and set job classes. It also has my favorite cast of characters in any FF – both party members wise and NPC wise. Yes, this includes Quina as well, because, you know what…? I do what I want! You have problem?

2. Persona 4/Persona 4 Golden

I was thinking about just letting P4 Golden be by itself here, but then I thought it wouldn’t be fair for it to get all of the spotlight just because it’s a better version of the original game. So they’re both here on the same number. Anyway, back when it came out, it was the first M Rated game I ever bought with my own money. I also had recently graduated high school on that same year, so that meant that I had to say goodbye to a lot of high school friends that I would most likely never see again. So when I started Persona 4, I immediately connected to it; the MC you play as is going and living to a new place he knows nothing about for a whole year, sort of like how I was going in a different direction in real life since I graduated high school. Truthfully, it really is a scary thing when you leave high school; especially when you’re so use to your old routines of getting up, getting ready and going to school on the bus. [Yeah, I never got my driver’s license back then, nor do I have it now, so the bus what how I got to school – from Kindergarten to 12th Grade. Amazing, isn’t it?] And, to be honest, I still haven’t gotten out of that phase of getting over the point of “high school to job/college”, because I’m not doing anything towards a job or college… *Cough* But anyway, after rage quitting/beating Yukiko’s Castle, I really opened up to the plot and characters of the game; like you’re supposed to because of your Social Links. It quickly became one of my favorite games ever after seeing the cutscene with the true ending of both the original game and the one in Golden. I burst out into tears as the credits rolled by; not only because it took me so long to beat the games, but because I was so attached to everything about what I had to go through… Truly one of the best games ever made, in my perspective.

1. Kingdom Hearts

Oh geez, where do I even begin on this explanation? I love everything about the first Kingdom Hearts game [except the PS2 camera, but not everything can be perfect]. When I was growing up, I have always been close to Disney movies, especially the animated ones that we had on VHS… We still have all of our old VHS’s, and watch them on an old Letterbox TV that has a built in VCR [God I’m old]. Some of my favorite Disney movies to watch back then were Cinderella, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Sword in the Stone, Robin Hood, Bambi, Snow White, and almost any Disney movie that came out on VHS back then up until ’95 or ’96. When I saw Kingdom Hearts for the first time, it was on a commercial on the Disney Channel; back when it was filled with good shows like Kim Possible and stuff. And when I heard Simple and Clean playing in the commercial, it really got my attention; along with the fact that Disney characters were involved in the game. I asked for it for Christmas that year, and I did get it that Christmas from my grandmother. My brother was the one who owned the PS2 in the house, and it was in his room. So, when I got Kingdom Hearts, I was always in my brother’s room, playing it whenever he was not in his room. Eventually, my brother got tired of me being in his room, so my mom bought me my own PS2; the one I use to record and play my PS2 games on to this day. The PS2 was the first game console that wasn’t for the family; it was for myself. Back then, besides game like Pokémon RBY/GSC, I had never really beaten a game by myself. It took me about a year to beat Kingdom Hearts for the first time, and once I realized that I had beaten it, I was overwhelmed with satisfaction that I had beaten this game on my own. I still feel that overwhelming feeling whenever I see and hear the credits and the ending songs. It was also because of Kingdom Hearts that I decided to write fanfics of my own; since the ending of Kingdom Hearts was being led into cliffhangers and other games that I didn’t really realized about until later when I had a stable internet connection [Yay for sequels!]. Truthfully, I don’t know who I would be now if I never had this game in my life; it pretty much shaped to how I became as a gamer and as a person. I don’t know if it’s a nostalgia factor or not, but Kingdom Hearts will always be my favorite game. Ever.
