It was a somewhat peaceful, quiet afternoon here in the little town of Pallet Town as we soon come across the housing part of the town. It was here where we could see one particular house, with someone out in the front yard, sitting down on the grass.

It was a girl, a girl that was a fourteen year old. She had long, midnight black hair that went a little past her shoulders and had bright, sky blue eyes. She wore a thin, long sleeved dark blue sweater that only went to her mid hip. She wore a pair of blue jeans that went a little past the ankle and had a white, left-to-right horizontal zigzag pattern on her right pants leg that went from her hip to her ankle. She wore a pair of silver and blue tennis shoes.

The girl made a peaceful sigh, "So, tomorrow I'm starting my journey…" she muttered as she then made a smile, "I'm sure mom would be proud… Well, I know my dad is."

"Hey, Sharon!" called out a voice from her right as the girl perked up her head in attention. The girl named Sharon soon saw someone come running up to her, a bit out of breath when she arrived to her side.

The girl was fourteen, like Sharon, and seemed a little bit short for her age. She had long, unusual sky blue-tinted hair that went to her shoulder blades and had dark, grass green eyes. She wore a long sleeved t-shirt that was white on top and purple on the bottom. She also wore a pair of light, beige-colored jeans that went to her ankles and wore a pair of light brown and silver tennis shoes.

"Oh, hey Vivi," stated Sharon with a smile, "What's up?"

"D-Did you just see the woods nearby?!" the girl nicknamed Vivi started to say with a bit of distress.

Sharon only arched her right eyebrow to her friend, "No, why?"

"I could've sworn I saw something flashing in the trees!" Vivi continued to explain.

Sharon sat there in silence for a moment before replying, "Are you sure? It could've just been the Pika Pack…"

"That's what worries me," Vivi started to say again, "What if they attacked someone in the woods?"

Sharon made a sigh at her friend's words; she did have a point there, "Alright, we'll go check it out."

"Right!" Vivi replied as Sharon got up from where she was sitting on the grass. The two girls soon dashed off towards the woods that Vivi was talking about…

Meanwhile, in the woods near Pallet Town, we could see the three Ed's; all three of them lying on the ground, sleeping. There were also three strange creatures beside them, waiting for them to wake up.

It was soon that Double D started to come to, groaning a little as he did, "Oh, what happened…?!" he muttered before noticing something to his left side. He widened his eyes at what it was.

It was a creature with a navy blue colored back and a light, peachy colored underbelly that went over its eyes, which were closed. It also had a long muzzle for a mouth/nose. It stood up on its hind legs and had short, slightly stubby arms that were on its sides.

"What…?!" Double D gasped aloud as he propped himself up against a tree nearby.

The creature started to come closer to Double D, even though it could tell that Double D was hesitant towards it, "Cynda…?"

"Don't be afraid of your Pokemon, Eddward," stated a familiar voice from before as one of the four ghosts from before appeared in front of him, "Cyndaquil will not hurt you."

"Cyndaquil? Pokemon?" Double D questioned with a mutter.

"All will be explained soon, Eddward," stated the ghost, "But first, I need to suggest to you to wake up your friends, for they need to hear this information as well."

"Huh?" Double D muttered again as he looked towards where the ghost was pointing. Ed and Eddy were there, but they were also not alone.

Beside Ed was what looked a lot like a turtle; a light, turquoise blue turtle that stood up on its hind legs. It had a shell that was a dark brown on top, and a light brown on its underbelly. It also had a thick, swirling tail coming from its back and a very round head.

Beside Eddy was what looked a lot like a gecko in appearance that stood up on its hind legs. It was a light green color with a red underbelly and two dark green tails on its tailbone. Its face looked a lot like a little dinosaur/lizard.

"Ed? Eddy?" Double D questioned aloud to them, which did get their attention.

"Ugh, what is it, Sockhead…?!" Eddy started to say until he saw what was beside him, "Ack! What the heck?!" he yelped as he got up into a sitting position.

"Whoa…" muttered Ed when he started to get up off of his back and saw the blue turtle, "Cool, a blue turtle!" he stated with a wide grin.

"W-What the heck is going on, Double D?!" Eddy stated as he turned to him.

"I'm still not sure, Eddy…" Double D replied, turning back to the ghost as he did, "Maybe you can tell us what's going on…?"

"Of course," stated the ghost, "You see, something will happen in the future that will require you three to be by my daughter's side; to protect her and two others that you will meet."

"But… what will happen in the future?" Ed asked, now getting into what the ghost was saying.

"I… can not say for certain," replied the ghost, shaking her head, "All I know is that it will be a dangerous situation; both for you and your Pokemon."

"Pokemon?" echoed the three Ed's, "What the heck is that?"

The ghost seemed to only chuckle at the question, "Pokemon are like the animals of this world. You can keep them as a companion, or train them to fight other people's Pokemon," the ghost then pointed towards the three creatures with them, "These three Pokemon have found you, and will be your first Pokemon for each of you."

"Oh, I see…" Double D replied with a nod of his head as he and the other two Ed's turned to the three Pokemon with them, "So… which one is mine?"

"Yours is Cyndaquil, the fire Pokemon here," the ghost replied as she pointed to the Pokemon that was beside him when he woke up, "She has agreed to help you on your journey."

"Oh, it's a she?" Double D asked as the Cyndaquil then walked up to him and nodded, "Cynda!"

"You also need to watch what you say to them," the ghost warned, "Pokemon have feelings that are exactly like a regular human beings, so they can think and act like a human too."

"I understand," Double D replied as he looked back down to his Pokemon, "Hmm, how would like for me to give you nickname?"

"Cynda!" chirped the Pokemon as she made a smile.

"How about… Cindy," Double D stated as he made a smile, "Is that alright with you?"

"Cyndaquil!" replied the Pokemon with a nod of her head.

"Ooo, ooo! Which one is mine? Huh?!" Ed soon asked the ghost in front of him in excitement.

"Yours is Squirtle, the turtle Pokemon," the ghost stated as she pointed to the blue turtle that was there, "It's a he, by the way."

"Yay!" stated Ed as the Squirtle came up to him and jumped up onto his right shoulder, "I'm going to call you Serge!"

"Squirtle!" chirped the Squirtle as he hugged Ed's head, which only made Ed chuckle loudly.

"So… the green one is mine, right?" asked Eddy as he turned to the last Pokemon.

"Correct," replied the ghost, "That Pokemon is called a Treeko; and it's a he."

"Uh huh," Eddy replied as the Treeko came walking up to him, "Treeko."

"Hmm…" Eddy hummed a little before saying, "I think I'll call you Evan."

"Evan?" questioned Double D with confusion, "That's your brother's name."

"I know that," Eddy replied with a bit of a roll of his eyes, "But I can't think of anything else."

"… Fair enough."

"… It is time for me to go, young ones," stated the ghost as she started to disappear from their site, "My daughter is coming… But, please, don't tell her about me though; it would be heartbreaking for her to know that I am still lingering…"

"… Hello?" questioned a voice from not too far away as the three Ed's could see a kind of dim light not too far off into the woods they were in, "Is there anyone here?!"

"Umm, yes, there is!" called out Double D to the female voice as his Cyndaquil came and jumped up into his arms.

It was then that the light got brighter as they then could see some kind of Pokemon come into sight; it was a red, lizard-like Pokemon with a small flame at the end of it's tail.

"Charmander, Char!" chirped the red fire lizard as it turned back towards the woods behind it, expecting someone to appear there.

And someone did appear there; it was a girl with long, black hair. She also had another girl beside her, who had unusual sky blue hair.

"Good job, Zippo!" stated the black haired girl to the Pokemon, "You found them."

"Char!" cheered the Pokemon nicknamed Zippo to his owner.

The girl then looked back to the Ed's, "Are you three okay out here?" she asked.

"Umm… Yes, we are alright," Double D stated to her.

The girl made a sigh of relief, "That's good," she then turned to the other girl beside her, "I don't think the Pika Pack was here, Vivi."

'Pika Pack?' thought the three Ed's in confusion.

"Obviously not, Sharon," stated the other girl there, crossing her arms across her chest, "I didn't know if the flash of light I saw was the Pika Pack or not, but we had to check it out either way."

"Hmm, true…" muttered the black haired girl before widening her eyes a little and turned back to where the Ed's were standing, "Oh, I'm sorry; are you three new here?"

"Umm, yes, we are," Double D replied with a nod of his head, "We… got lost on our way to the, uh, nearest town."

"Oh, I see," the black haired girl stated with an understanding nod of her head.

"Hey, I suggest we all hightail it out of here," stated the other girl as everyone turned to her, "You know, before the Pika Pack come by here."

"Yeah, I agree," replied the black haired girl to her friend as she then turned back to the Ed's, "Well, we can lead you the way out of here, follow us."
