Happy Birthday to Yuki! [4 Days Later...]Oh hey guys! It's been a long while again since I've made a journal here... Oops.
Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you all for all of the birthday wishes from the 20th.
Here's a lowdown on things I got...
I got an awesome LootCrate before my birthday.
And on my birthday, I got...
... I also got a game to go along with it...
... And another game that I downloaded for free for being a Club Nintendo Platinum member!
Oh yeah! I also got cookie cake, like I do every year! Not that I'm complaining though...
I also reached my personal goal for my YouTube channel; Over 200 subscribers before the 20th!
A Small Update w/ New Things + Help in AudacityOh hey guys! Sorry that I've been kind of absent for a while here on dA... I've been busy with other things; both in real life and on my YouTube channel. Well, truth be told, nothing has actually changed in real life; just been depressed a lot lately... But enough about that, let's talk about my YouTube channel!
I currently have five Let's Plays going on at the moment... I know it's a bad idea to have so many at once, but it's my channel; my channel, my rules. :U But in all seriousness, some of them have come to a halt, mainly because I have to do off screen stuff before recording more... But oh well, that's just how it is at the moment.
Anyway, here's the current series I have going on so far...
Sailor Moon RPG: Another Story [Currently at 25 Parts]
Dragon Quest VIII [Currently at 49 Parts]
Pokémon FireRed [Currently at 23 Parts]
South Park: The
LPer Highlight #1: NicoBHello everyone! YukiMizuno here with the first ever edition of LPer Highlight! This series is where I'll feature and review a Let's Player I'm currently watching/like and give you guys a rundown on what they have done on their channel and what I think about it! This series of journals will happen every Saturday both here in this group and on my own journals on my account... Anyway, let's get on with this feature!
The Let's Player I've picked for this first edition is... NicoB! He is also here on dA as NicoB7700! (Haha, thank goodness I looked beforehand before making this journal feature public )
I first found NicoB when I was originally searching for Blind LP's of Persona 4, since it came out on the PS3 just recently. And lo and behold, NicoB is currently doing a Blind LP of Persona 4 Golden; which is even better!
At first, I wasn't that ecstatic about the way he started his videos because it was too hi
*Tosses a Phoenix Down*Oh, hey guys, this is YukiMizuno here! Long time, no journal here on LetsPlayersHQ... I'm so sorry about that! You see, after I started my YouTube channel, I became a bit distant to dA in general, thus there was barely any promotion here at all because of that.
But now, I feel like I should do more; both on this group and on dA. So, I just made this a Super Group so I can get more done and have a reason to be productive here! (Super Groups aren't cheap, you know; I don't want to waste it!)
So, what I'm planning to do every Saturday is feature an LP channel here in a journal; and maybe even try to interview them with a Q and A if I can! I'll try to feature mostly unknown channels with under 30,000 subscribers, but I might mix it up a bit and just do my favorites that have over 30,000 sometimes; I hope you guys don't mind that!
Anyway, spread the word to everyone and say that this group is coming back and is going to be better than ever!
Edit: Also remember that I made
FFX HD Contest! UPDATE: Winners!Click on the video to see the winners! I'll note them soon.
Congrats once again, TheMediocre and 1000thsummer!
Hello everyone! I'm here today with a contest for you all...
A contest to win one of these two copies of Final Fantasy X/X-2 Collector's Edition!
Now, I know what you might be thinking right now, "Yuki, why do you have two of these, minus the one you've already opened and started playing?" Well. That's a journal for another time.
There are technically two ways you can win a copy.
The first way is through an Art Contest! This is for people who have already played the PS2 games and know the plot and characters of the games. The second way is through the comment section of this journal! I'll explain this in a minute...
Anyway, let me explain the criteria and rules of the Art Contest first...
For the art contest, you need to draw your favorite character from either X or X-2, along with writing a little bit about why t

Happy New Year! + 3DS FC ResetJust wanted to say Happy New Year to everyone!
Also, my 3DS Friends Codes have changed; I had to reset my main one. Plus I have two 3DS's now, so I'll give out both of my FC, okay?
Anyway, my main 3DS FC is now... 2251 - 5467 - 9671
And my secondary 3DS FC is now... 1907 - 9564 - 9136
Started Animal Crossings: New Leaf again today on my main 3DS; as in I reset everything for what I use to have, which I abandoned. And you can battle me on my Pokemon X and/or Y file on both my 3DS's, since I do switch them back and forth for trading with myself (pathetic, I know). My Pokemon X file [with the trainer name Jen] is the main one I use for battling/trading, while my Y file is not fully done yet, so... just make sure it's my X file.

Go for it - Photoshop Actions
Hello guys! How are you?
This "Go for it" Article is about Photoshop Brushes.
Many of us use brushes to enhance our works result. Whether they are drawings, vectors, paintings, manipulations, photographies, etc., the truth is that brushes are many times a life savior and, they help us achieve great effects in an great and easy way.
What are brushes?
Quoting my own Tutorial, "Brushes can be compared to stamps that we use in Photoshop (or in other program like Paint Shop Pro, Illustrator, Corel PhotoPaint, etc.). The main puropse is to add extra effect or details into your digital work".
I've created 2 Tutorials exlaining how to instal & apply Photoshop Brushes and, also how to create your own Photoshop Brushes. If you find them useful, please download t
On Unknown ArtistsThis article was originally inspired by a discussion with Alavesa and posted in a journal here but people told me I should make it a news article So here's a revised (hopefully improved) version. Any updates and additions will be posted there.
Tip for unknown artists
First, this is something I find many just don't realise... Did you know that you're way more likely to meet new friends and getting your work noticed if you interact with unknown artists, instead of only watching already popular ones? Unknown artists will appreciate any feedback you leave them a lot more (be it a critique, a fave etc.), and often will keep talking to you and return the favour, while to many popular artists, you may be just another drop in the sea.
Remember, the amounts of exposure you get doesn't just depend on the quality of your work you'll have to get some people to look in the first pla
Cosplay Photography GuideA cosplay photography introductory lesson of sorts, for the growing number of cosplay enthusiasts in the deviantART community.
An illustrated outline of things to consider for photoshoots, also identifying the differentiating factors of cosplay photography as compared to more classical portraiture.
He Took a Polaroid Every Day Until the Day He DiedHonestly this is one of the most amazing things that I think I have ever seen, and he even captured his own death essentially. Make sure you read the commentary, especially down below after the images, which gives the reader a LOT of insight into things. Without question, one of the most dramatic photographic things I believe I have ever seen.
Macro Photography - Detail not Visible to the EyeMacro Photography - Show the Detail not Visible to the Eye
Approaching macro photography for the first time can be full of ugliness especially if your first attempts fail badly. Many beginners discover the Depth of Field (DoF) is very small, images are out of focus because the focus is critical in macro photography with the small DoF, Camera shake and subject movement (due to using longer shutter speeds to allow for small apertures and/or not using a sturdy tripod), increased noise (if you use a higher ISO to compensate for the small apertures needed), or badly composed photos. And this can get frustrating.
(the following was already covered in my first article Welcome to the
World of Macro but here is a reminder)
Macro Photography requires special equipment which can get expensive, but so what we photographers like to spend money on equipment. Without some form of macro equipment you will not be able to
C O M P O S I T I O N - simple guidelinesAfter reading some photography books such as Petersens Big Book of Photography, 2009; Learning to See Creatively, 2003; and many other books, local magazine, and international magazine lately, desire has been filled my heart to share something here.
Its all about C O M P O S I T I O N, why? Simply because composition has been the most important things in art. Every painting, drawing, and even music needs a nice composition within them to be enjoyed by people. And since photography is an art, I can say that composition is its soul. Do you agree with me?
The thing now is composition comes from our heart combined with our mind. It is almost impossible to formulate it. You can learn it from your own experience or others experiences, but there isnt stick rules to it. Arts never have any rules. Thats why I called this guidelines, not rules, of composition. Just to make it easier for all who want to start their ph

Amazing Unknown ArtworksDeviantArt is a place full of amazing artists and artworks.
Unfortunately, some of them are almost unknown and really deserve more recognition.
I've decided to feature some of my faves in this article, all of them are almost unknown (most of them only have under 100 faves, they are all under 500 faves).

DAM your photosNo disrespect intended...
Digital Asset Management (DAM)is a tool you should learn about.
I want to present two basic ideas, in 3 simple steps (and tips), to help you manage your photography work better. The first is managing you work on you computer (organizing it), and the second is the keywords and tags you add to it when submitting your work on-line.
A few words of introduction first. If you are a starting photographer, this is very important for you. The experienced ones will find it hard to Re-manage all the work they have done, and they probably have a system they work with (working, or not). However, if you are starting now to accumulate your photographs and submitting it on-line, this is essential for you, and easier to do.
Shell we begin?
1. Managing your photographs
This simple method is based on dates and places. The steps are all centered on creating a folder structure organized around the dates and places you took the pictures on.
This organization method is based on date
